How to keep your luggage safe when travelling is a very big concern for people who travel often. While in the airport, there are multiple places where your luggage could be vulnerable. There are also lockers and even certain areas in the hotel that are protected by security cameras, but how do you know your luggage is protected while travelling?
First, if you do not have a name tag with your information for it, then it can be easily lost forever. You should also use zippers on your bags. Zippers are good for travelling, but only really effective if they have a lock as well. Use locks and seals whenever possible, and even though there are now some new inventions in the area of lock and key devices for the luggage compartment (such as the newer “air-tight” type of closure devices that prevent the zippers from being opened from the outside), you still need to remember to use locks and seals whenever possible. One of the most important aspects of keeping your luggage safe is to never take more than you need. If you only need one or two individual items, stick to those. Also, be sure to put the smaller items in a separate bag or container to avoid having to struggle with a bulky total when you’re walking through airports or hotels. And finally, always make sure your bags are kept with you at all times until check-in.
