This is the reason why we have been a little more idea travel themed wedding. In this post we will explain how we have made our wedding have a little more of us. How we have prepared a wedding with a traveling theme.
Traveling Invitation – Airline Ticket
The invitation is the first thing your guests will see. We were very clear that we wanted a plane ticket. So we started looking for ideas, texts to put … you will find for all tastes. After looking and looking, we decided to do the design ourselves. We were not convinced by what we saw. Maybe because we had very clear what we wanted and even more what we did not want. So the plane ticket to our travel themed was like that.
Our guests liked it very much. They even asked us for more than one because if we gave an invitation to a couple, only one had a ticket to attend the wedding! 😂We already clarified that it was a special plane ticket that included more than one person.
We also design the envelopes ourselves. We put an airmail stamp and the names of the recipients and in case of sending it by postal mail also the address.
I do not know what the invitation and the envelope will look like to you, but we are delighted with the result. The invitations are sent to a printing company and the envelopes are printed by ourselves at home.
Travel themed logo
Unlike what many couples do, we did not make a rubber stamp with our logo. It’s much cheaper if you print it on what you need. That will give you a little more work. But it was also fun to get both of us to do crafts. So the travel themed is something of the two.
This logo helped us for a lot of things. As you can see it is in the invitation. But we also put on the labels of gifts, we made stickers, as a detail in the country … you will see if you keep reading.
Traveler gifts for the guests
The gift of the guests had to go according to the theme of the wedding. Giving away trips was not an option. It had to be something useful, not a “put”. It occurred to us that making custom external batteries to charge the phone was a very good option. Everyone runs out of battery at one time or another, not just during travel.
The batteries came in a box, but they were too ugly to give them as they were. So we bought some Kraft colored boxes to put the battery with its cable. Then we decorate it with a little thread and the label.
But you can not give a battery to everyone, the older people and the little ones can stay with a poker face. For the elderly we bought some fans and we put a label to personalize them a little. And for the little ones we buy sweets. This never fails! We put them in some plastic boats that we personalized with a sticker of the travel themed logo.
Going back to the main gift. What a disappointment! We found a company that did them at a reasonable price and that had good comments. We send them the design, they send us a sketch that we accept because it was what we wanted and when we get home … Surprise! The design has not remained as we had done or as in the sketch that we had accepted. It is not a disaster. We told the family members that they were not so bad. But when you send something to print you want it to be as you have done it.
We called the company and at first they treated us crazy. It’s the same as the sketch! They told us. After a lot of insistence, they passed us with the designer and admitted that we were right and that it was their fault. This is all we get. If you want to make some batteries we do not recommend Ladu Da Advertising. Apart from this problem, some batteries have the plate where our design goes … a disaster Some very traveler countries
We had excess tongue depressors and Kraft paper. So we thought what we could do to take advantage of this material. With the heat that was making those days the idea came quickly to our heads.
First we look for scrap booking papers to line the Kraft. But they were very expensive. Also, is it necessary? If we were doing them to take advantage of material, does it make sense to spend more money? The answer is no. We made a very simple design with a world map and our logo and we printed it.
A summary of our lives in photos
In another restaurant that we had visited, we saw that the couple were hanging photos of themselves. We thought it was a good idea. Yolanda and Iris (the people of the Mas de Can Riera , the place where we got married, who had our wedding) told us the perfect place to hang them.
We decided to make a story of our lives from small to the moment of the wedding. We had to reveal our photos but also with our guests. This way they would look for and remember good moments together. In addition to this way “family members” could be “in the wedding” for one reason or another they could not attend.
As you can see, the photos are printed in Polaroid style. It’s the retro style of Cheerz. We love! Unlike the battery supplier, this is 100% recommended. You can place your order from your computer through its website or through the App. We did it through the App and it is very easy. Select the photos you want and then if you need to adjust the frame.
We want to thank Cheerz for having wanted to collaborate with us on this important day. The guests loved it, they asked us where we had made them and if they could take a souvenir. A success!
But we could not forget about you, our readers. For you we have a 20% discount for any Cheerz product. You only have to put the code 3MHCRL when you make the order.
A “book of signatures” of the most traveler
We think that a signature book is boring and is very fashionable. Ours had to be different. A good memory of the travel themed and fun to make for our guests.
Under the motto “Make your passport photo and leave us a comment” we encourage our guests to take pictures with an instant print camera that we bought and leave us a few words.
What is cool?
But this is not all. To take the photos we made them a Traveler Photo Booth . An Egyptian pharaoh, an Irish cap, Venetian masks … the typical glasses and mustache seemed boring. In addition, we were able to take advantage of it to make a fool of ourselves during the party. Yes there and each one with his camera and the signature book guardadito to avoid spoiling.
The tables become cities
Table 1, 2, 3 … how boring! We did not want that. Our tables became cities in which we had both been and had some kind of relationship with someone at the table. For example, one of the tables was Amsterdam. Amsterdam was the first city to which we traveled together, but not alone. We went with Laura’s brother. So the table where he was going to sit would be Amsterdam. From it, by proximity, we set up the rest of the table.
And the presidential table? The city of this table was crystal clear. Prague In this city is where we got engaged.
Seating traveler with destination
We use Pinterest to inspire us with the decoration themes. There are very good ideas. Our seating became the departure panel of an airport. A somewhat vintage panel, not like the televisions that there are now.
Delivery – Body traveler
Currently at weddings gifts are given to the closest people. They are called deliveries and there are usually between 5 or 6 so it is not too long and heavy. We made gifts for parents, Laura’s grandmother, we gave the bouquet, a couple and a body.
David’s sister is pregnant and we wanted to have a detail for future dads and for our niece. We looked for companies that made a personalized body, but most of them only let you change the name of the baby. A co-worker told us about Mostachin, but since most of the companies we had found had pre-established designs. We decided to contact them to tell them that we already had a design and if they could print it on a body. They did not give us any problems and the result was this!
When we received it at home we were amazed. Go more currado package! David values these things very much, the little details. So Mostachin is another provider that we recommend 100%.
