Spanish city

Autumn is a perfect time to travel and learn about other cities, places, spaces … The forests change color and cities are seething. Any other bridge is approaching, so it is the ideal to pack and enjoy this time four Spanish cities full of charm, good food and fun …

Segovia

Segovia is a perfect city to visit the fall. The historic center and the aqueduct are World Heritage of Unesco since 1985. The aqueduct of Segovia is the work of Spain’s most important Roman civil engineering, also it is in excellent condition conservation.

Apart from Aqueduct you can visit the Alcazar, the Monastery of San Antonio el Real, the Cathedral and the walls of Segovia. Do not forget to stroll through its streets and walk around the gardens of the Alcazar.

As for the cuisine, you’re in luck because in autumn season starts eating roast suckling pig, the most typical dish of the city. Segovia is full of convents and monasteries, so do not forget to try some of the sweets made by the nuns.

Gerona

Gerona is one of the cities most beautiful of Spain. Its historic center, called Barri Vell, is unique. You must visit the Call, the old Jewish quarter, the colorful houses along the river Onar, the Rambla de la Libertad, the Arab baths, the old Hospital Santa Caterina … but above all we must go to the Cathedral of Gerona, which has the widest Gothic nave in the world.

If you’re a fan of the series Game of Thrones, Girona has been one of the main stages in the last season. In autumn Gerona parties are held : “Fires i festes de Sant Narcís”. On 29 October is San Narcís, patron of the city.

Valencia

Do you want sun and beach? In that case, the city of Valencia offers that and more.In October the temperatures are still great and if you have lots still can swim on the beach Malvarrosa. Valencia is a city large enough to be busy for days.

Gijon cultural activity is very rich and varied. The electronic music festival LEV Festival, the International Comic Fair of Asturias (in October) or Black Week is celebrated … Music is very important in this city. In fact, Gijon hosts the famous “mod” Euroyeyé festival.

Gijon is a must eat a good Asturian bean stew or pot, but you should also try delicious fish and seafood from the Bay of Biscay. As can taste a sweet dessert called The Princesitas confectionery Beach. And of course, do not forget toaccompany the Asturian dishes with cider.
