Head to Leckhampton hill, where you will find the remains of an Iron Age hill fort, and the devils chimney – a tall limestone column that was created centuries ago when the area was used for stone quarrying. The Holst birthplace museum can also be found in Cheltenham town, where you can find out about the legendary composer at the place of his birth, and if you like your history with tales of the paranormal head to the village of Prestbury. An important part of the English civil war and a place that is reportedly one of the most haunted villages in the UK!

So much Shopping – If you are a lover of strolling around the shops, or like to simply have all the retail that you need on your doorstep, then Cheltenham will please you! In the town centre there are a wide variety of shops including a large John Lewis, and you can stroll through the Regent Arcade (home to the magical wishing fish clock) and shop to your heart’s content. There are also markets held regularly where you will be able to find some unique local products from food to hand made crafts.
